About Joan Eckhardt
Joan graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, with a BBA in Business Administration, with a major in accounting. After graduation, she worked as an auditor for Touche Ross & Co.(currently Deloitte-Touche), and as a staff accountant for a large homebuilder. She and her husband, Charles, owned a heavy equipment company for a number of years, which specialized in commercial warehouse pads, parking lots, and residential developments.
Joan has been married to Charles for many years, and they have two lovely sons, Christopher and Chase, ages 26 and 24. Christopher works for Montana-based Barnard Construction Co. as a project engineer. He is currently working in Huntington Beach, California. Chase is a realtor and works part-time with Joan as a member of The Eckhardt Team.
Joan has had a lifelong interest in home building and design. She earned her real estate license in June, 2002, and began her career at Keller Williams Realty, where she received a great deal of valuable training. Joan worked with EXIT Realty Unlimited for 3 years, and joined Prudential Colorado Real Estate in June, 2007. Joan received the Bronze Award for Sales Achievement at Keller Williams for 2004, and was top sales agent in February and April, 2004. Joan was the #1 sales agent for EXIT Realty Unlimited in 2006.
Joan designed and built two homes in Texas, remodeled three large homes in California, and purchased two "fix & flip" investment properties in Colorado. Joan and Charles have a home on 5 acres east of Denver.
Joan specializes in homes and homes on acreage, and frequently works with real estate investors. Joan has recently listed and sold several commercial properties.
